💥Krabi to Host the 8th “Nateen Green Village Festival 2026” Promoting Sustainable
Community-Based Tourism Krabi Province, by Ao Nang Subdistrict Admistrative Organization, in collaboration with the Ban Nateen Community -Based Tourism Enterprise, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Krabi Office,
Krabi Community-Based Tourism Association, Krabi Tourism Business Association, Krabi Hotel
Association, Goverment Savings Bank,and network partners, is set to organize the “Nateen Green Village Festival 2026”, the 8th edition of the annual event.


💥The festival will take place from 27-29 March 2026, between 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM, at Lard Prateen,in front of the Ban Nateen Community-Based Tourism Enterprise Office, Ao Nang Subdistrict,
Mueang District, Krabi.
💥Mr. Buncha Kwanglee, President of the Ban Nateen Community-Based Tourism Enterprise, stated that the festival aims to promote community -based tourism while elevating Green
Gastronomy by showcasing local dishes that reflect the unique identity of the community. The event also supports Muslim-Friendly Tourism and is organized under the concept of a Green Event, in alignment with the provincial strategy “Krabi Goes Green.”


💥Throughout the three -day festival, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities, including local and healthy food booths using eco-friendly packaging such as coconut shells, cultural permances from Southern Thailand such as Manorah , batik dance, and a contemporary fire tea-pulling
show.Additional highlights include traditional folk games competitions, a youth painting contest, and booths selling local handicrafts and community products, including naturally dyed batik textiles.
💥Ms. Soraya Homchuen, Director of TAT Krabi Office, revealed that the Nateen Green Village Festival is one of the key annual tourism events in TAT’s calendar, consistently attracting both Thai and
international visitors. With its unique identy and engaging activities, combined with its location in Ao Nang–Krabi’s main tourist hub–during the high season and school holidays, the event is
expected to significantly boost tourism. Statistics from previous years show that approximately 60%
of attendees were Thai tourists and 40% international visitors, recting strong appeal across both domestic and global markets.
💥For 2026, the festival is expected to welcome approximately 3,000-3,500 visitors, with around 55-
60% Thai tourists and 40-45% international visitors, paricularly from Europe, Asia, and Muslim travelers interested in cultural and halal food tourism. The event is projected to generate at least 3-3.5 million baht in circulation within the local economy. Revenue will be distributed across various
sectors, including accommodation providers, community product groups, tourism services, and event
activities–helping strengthen the grassroots economy sustainably.
💥Ms. Soraya added that Ban Nateen Community has also been recognized with the STGs STAR sustainability standard and is among the sustainable tourism products promoted by TAT. This aligns
with the “Krabi Goes Green” policy and supports the development of Krabi as a Green Tourism Prototype, enhancing economic value and creating opportunities for local entreneurs through
sustainable tourism marketing strategies, with the Green Event concept as a key driving force.
💥This festival not only stimulates the local economy in the short term but also reinforces Krabi’s long- term image as a sustainable tourism destination. The Tourism Authority of Thailand warmly invites both Thai and international visitors to join the “Nateen Green Village Festival 2026” and experience the charm of Ban Nateen’s community lifestyle through creative activities, local cuisine, and rich cultural heritage -while being part of a sustainable tourism journey.
